AMD’s 3000 series CPU’s will undoubtedly outperform the overpriced i7 and i9 processor in gaming, multi-tasking, and content creation programs.
The Ryzen 9 3950X will be available from September, and it’s priced for $749. One of the major reasons behind the additional performance gain in the 3000 series as compared to the 2000 series is the 7nm manufacturing process. Earlier, the 2000 series was built on a 12nm process. AMD has also addressed the memory latency problems by moving from DDR4/2667 to DDR4/3600. In addition to performance improvements, AMD claims that the 3000 series is around 56% more power-efficient as compared to core i7 processors.
