AirPods are Apple’s new wireless, cord-free in-ear headphones. While Apple has made it easy to pair AirPods across all of its devices in a matter of seconds, these earphones don’t come cheap. They are expensive at $159, considering that you can get a decent pair of Bluetooth earbuds for around $30. While Airpods work on all Apple products, you can make them work on your Android device too. Here’s how you can pair Apple’s newest creation with your Android device.
- Open the Bluetooth settings screen on the device you’re going to use your AirPods with. 2. With the AirPods in the charging case, open the lid. 3. Press the small pairing button placed on the back of the case and hold it for few seconds until the light on the case begins blinking white. Once it starts blinking, let go. 4. Now, the Airpods have been set to the pairing mode with the menu on the device, select them and follow any prompts. Repeat this process on each device you want to use the AirPods with. If during the pairing process, you run into issues then Apple suggests opening the lid and holding in the button on the back until the indicator light blinks amber. Let go of the button, close the lid, and try again. The only difference while using the Airpods on the Apple iPhone device and the other smartphone devices is that you will lose out on some features, such as a battery indicator or the simplicity of switching between devices. However, they still complete the action. Also, you won’t get the benefits of Siri, as it would not be activated by touching on the Airpods. In addition, a double-tap on either earbud would pause and restart the music.
