The LG 2021 4K Smart TV models that support the GeForce NOW app include OLED TV models G1, C1, B1, A1; QNED Mini LED TV models QNED90, QNED85; NanoCell TV models NANO90, NANO85, NANO80, NANO77, NANO75; UHD TV models UP80, UP77, UP75. If you have got any of the above-mentioned compatible 2021 LG TV, all you need to do is download the GeForce Now app from the LG Content Store. As an added bonus, NVIDIA is offering GeForce NOW Priority membership to all customers who purchase an applicable LG 2021 4K Smart TV model in participating markets in the United States between February 1 and March 20. It will require LG TV customers to download and install GeForce NOW on their new LG TVs. “GeForce NOW allows users to stream free-to-play games purchased from online stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect and Origin, turning their LG Smart TV into a high performance gaming machine,” LG said in a press release. “Priority membership provides faster access to NVIDIA’s servers so there’s no waiting for games to start, extended session times, gorgeous ray-traced graphics with RTX ON and seamless, high-res gameplay at up to 60 frames per second.” To get your gaming session underway, all you need is a compatible controller. LG TV users can play supported games they already own or dive into any one of the many free-to-play titles available on GeForce NOW, including Rocket League and Destiny 2, as well as titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Crysis Remastered Trilogy. “Using advanced AI and enabling mesmerizing ray tracing, which simulates the behavior of light in real-time to create stunningly realistic visuals, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service delivers sublime gaming experiences on LG’s premium 4K TVs,” LG added. Besides the launch of the LG TV app, NVIDIA also rolled out a new update for the GeForce NOW app that delivers resolution scaling options. Currently, there are three upscaling modes that are supported: “Standard“ This mode is enabled by default. It uses a bilinear filter to scale content and uses the least amount of system resources. It’s available on all devices that support the native PC and macOS GeForce NOW apps. “Enhanced” This mode uses a Lanczos filter to scale content, which results in better image quality when compared to standard mode. Enhanced mode uses more system resources, which could result in additional latency depending on your device’s specifications. “AI-enhanced” This mode is only available for PC users with select NVIDIA GPUs or on NVIDIA SHIELD TV. First introduced on NVIDIA SHIELD TV, AI-enhanced mode leverages the computational power of the GPU to pass content through a trained neural network model. This produces incredible sharpness and enhanced details that no traditional scaler can recreate. AI-enhanced mode is available only for upscaling content. This week NVIDIA has added a number of new games to the GeForce Now library, which includes Mortal Online 2, Daemon X Machina, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Tropico 6, and Assassin’s Creed III Deluxe Edition.
